Many elite sports people use visualisation and hypnotherapy to help improve their game.

Whether you are a keen golfer, needing help with your swing, a cyclist or runner wanting to increase your endurance, or you need more confidence playing football or rugby, or even to overcome scuba diving anxiety, Hypnosis could be the answer.

Athletes such as Michael Jordan (basketball), Tiger Woods (golf) and Mike Tyson (boxing) have all admitted to using hypnosis to improve their game. It is safe and enables you to get the best our of your sport and to achieve what you want to, how you want to and when you want to.

Visualisation is a major part of any sport. When you see what you want to achieve and know you have the skills and confidence to go and get it, that is when you win.

How does it work?

Often, we have the knowledge hidden in the subconscious but for one reason or another, our conscious brain hasn’t processed it in order to implement those skills when in the moment.

It could be a lack of confidence, understanding or something completely different that is holding you back.

With visualisation and hypnosis, we find what is stopping you from getting the most out of your sport and change it.

We visualise scenarios of you achieving your goals, as though it has already happened and therefore trick the mind into believing it’s already achieved. Believing in your ability is the first step to making it actually happen.

How Many Sessions?

For sports performance therapy, an initial session of 90 minutes is generally recommended. During this session, we discuss what your goals are and what you think is stopping you from getting there.

Then we will do some visualisation and confidence building work, through hypnosis.

If you then decide to have further sessions, we can concentrate on more specific areas and more confidence building. These are usually 50 - 60 minutes long.
